guessing what it looks like and by means of that guess drawing conclusions for your life.
why shouldn´t it work?
whatever we guess and see resembles our experience and thus shapes our future, so in a way it is a really accurate way to go about things: trying to recognize something familiar in an unknown shape and thereby learning about yourself.
i also like it the other way around though. defamiliarizing the familiar and awakening the unknown potential of something supposedly known.
